GR 2023 Preconference - Behavior Management Strategies for Camps

This preconference program will focus on behavior management techniques that help to ensure a positive and safe camp experience for all participants. The workshop will cover a range of topics related to behavior management, such as identifying and responding to challenging behaviors, creating positive relationships with campers, and preventing conflicts. 

The workshop will be interactive, conducted through a variety of methods. The program will also provide an opportunity to learn from each other's experiences, share insights, and brainstorm solutions. The goal is to equip camp staff with practical strategies and skills to handle various behavior situations that may arise during the camp, promoting a positive camp environment for all. 

The preconference workshop will be led by Trevor Dunlap, Executive Director of Nuhop and Co-Founder of Switchback Designs. Trevor is passionate about experiential learning and loves fostering creative environments where people can succeed through self-discovery and teamwork.

Registration includes workshop program and snacks.

Additional Information

Cancellations must be in writing and can be faxed or emailed to: (765) 342-2065, fax or events@ACAcamps.org.  Phone cancellations are not accepted. The cancellation deadline is 11/01/2023.  Cancellations received by 11/01/2023 will be eligible for a refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee.  Cancellations received less than 2 weeks before the event will not be refunded.  If ACA cancels the event, the registration fee paid will be fully refunded.  

Use of Images in ACA Publications: Through my registration, I give American Camp Association full rights and permissions with respect to any photographs, video, and audio recordings taken during the ACA event. These images and recordings may be used by ACA, and its agents, in educational and promotional media.
